Leadership

The Lombard Junior Women's Club (LJWC) is run by women just like you, that have a passion for giving back to our community through service.  Every two years, a new executive board and committee chairs are elected to ensure we are living out the LJWC mission.

Meet our 2025-2026 Executive Board

Cassie Hartness

President

Cassie grew up in Lombard and moved to Villa Park in 2015. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and has dedicated her career to improving mental health services and access. Passionate about community service, she originally joined the Lombard Junior Women's Club in 2018, rejoining in 2021, and currently serves as President as of 2025. She also served as the TLC Camp Director for three years, furthering her commitment to making a positive impact.

Married in 2020, she cherishes time with her husband and stepdaughter, along with their beloved dog and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys reading, doing puzzles, crafting, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Amy O'Callaghan

Vice-President/President-Elect

Amy grew up in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Elmhurst in 1999, then to Lombard in 2001.  She joined LJWC in 2022 after her daughter went through the Lombard Princess program.  Amy was very impressed by the program and wanted to give back to the club that gave so much joy to her daughter.  She quickly realized LJWC was for her and volunteered to be a committee chairperson for the Art and Culture group just a few months after joining.   Amy works as a Early Childhood Special Education teacher at a local school district, where she supports the districts' youngest learners.  Amy volunteers for First Church of Lombard's youth community as well as other church related teams.  She continues to live in Lombard with her husband, fur baby and 3 college aged children when they are not away at school.  She enjoys when all 3 kids are back at home and the house is a little more active with adult children filling the house.  When Amy is not volunteering at her church, for a committee at work, or LJWC she is off visiting someone at college or enjoying spending time with her husband and/or friends.

Jennifer Walsh

Secretary

Jennifer was born and raised in Elmhurst, IL and moved to Lombard in the spring of 2008. She has been an active member of LJWC since 2017 and has served on both our executive board and as a committee chair for the past several years. Jennifer is a big believer in giving back to her community and is passionate about helping others. Living in Lombard has given her a sense of community and her dedication to LJWC is shown by her State and District awards. Jennifer has been married to her high school sweetheart for 17 years now and they have two tween daughters and a fur baby. Jennifer is also a full-time paralegal for a real estate attorney in Oakbrook Terrace. When she’s not helping with a Junior project, her hobbies include hiking, gardening and road trips!

Tania Peeler

Treasurer

Tania grew up in Plainfield, IL then moved to a small town in Wisconsin in 1995. She moved to Lombard in 2003 to her mother’s family home. She joined LJWC in 2023 after attending a meet and greet with the hopes of finding something meaningful to do with her spare time as a stay-at-home mom. She quickly felt at home with all of the members and volunteered to manage the monthly newsletter, Jottings. After her first year in the club, she volunteered to chair the Cocktails and Candy Canes Pub Crawl, the proceeds of which go directly to the LJWC Philanthropic Fund. Tania works as a Risk Management & Compliance Specialist at DeSpir Logistics Network. In her time away from the office when she isn’t working on LJWC activities and events, she enjoys reading, working out and spending time with her 3 children and husband.

Carla Ammons

Membership Programs & Social

Carla grew up in Lombard, IL, where she continues to live and grow roots with her family. A proud graduate of Elmhurst College, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Education, with a minor in Economics. After college, her passion for education and adventure led her to spend a transformative year teaching English in the Republic of Georgia, a chapter of her life that deepened her love for connecting with people from all walks of life.

Back in Lombard, Carla balances a vibrant life as a dedicated wife and proud mom to four energetic boys. Professionally, she channels her creativity and strategic thinking as the Social Media and Marketing Manager for Baird & Warner Real Estate. Additionally, she owns "Coffee, Books, and Yoga," where she manages her social media presence, cultivates partnerships, and creates meaningful content that revolves around motherhood, travel, and figuring it all out.

Committed to making a difference in her community, Carla joined the Lombard Juniors, finding fulfillment in supporting local initiatives and fostering connections with fellow residents. In addition to her community involvement, she is a registered yoga teacher who finds joy and balance through her love of grounding and movement. When she's not teaching or practicing, you'll often find her hiking scenic trails, tackling a puzzle at home, or perfecting her homemade sourdough bread—a true labor of love.

Whether it’s her professional pursuits, community engagement, or time spent with family, Carla embraces each moment with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the town she calls home.

Brittney Conway

Immediate Past President

Brittney grew up in a small town in central Illinois and moved to Lombard in 2014. She joined the LJWC in 2018 after meeting another member while serving together as election judges. After only a few months as a member, she volunteered to chair the Lilac Princess Program, one of the club's signature programs. She has enjoyed being a part of that program and is chairing it for her seventh year. Brittney works at the American Society of Anesthesiologists and is a member of the Village of Lombard Community Relations Committee, on the Board of Directors for the Lombard Chamber of Commerce, a member of the St. Pius X School Board, a Junior Girl Scout troop leader, and volunteers with her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. In her spare time, she serves as the 'keeper of the calendar' and master event planner for her husband and two kids.
